The 2026 Hilux relies on reversing sensors, a camera and Blind Spot (BLIS) sensors to hold its 5 Star ANCAP rating. Where those sensors live depends entirely on which deck you choose — and we engineer for both.
CAB CHASSIS
FACTORY DAT BAR, IN PLACE
Toyota factory-fits the DAT bar on Cab Chassis utes. It houses the camera and BLIS sensors in a fixed position, so we build around it, and the sensors are never disturbed. A cleaner, faster, lower-cost install with the safety gear exactly where Toyota put it.
WELLSIDE
NO DAT BAR, SO WE RELOCATE
Wellside utes have no DAT bar. When we remove the factory wellside, the sensors and camera come with it, so we carefully relocate every sensor into the new deck. Precise work, done right, so the ute keeps the safety systems it left the factory with
