Just like towbars, wiring requirements vary between vehicles. Older models often only need simple, standard wiring, while newer vehicles—especially European or specialty models—require more advanced wiring systems. These can take longer to install due to the need to remove more parts and navigate complex vehicle electronics.

Modern vehicles often come equipped with features like autonomous braking, blind spot monitoring, and reversing sensors. To ensure these systems continue to work correctly with a towbar installed, a vehicle-specific wiring kit is usually required. These kits are designed to integrate safely with your car’s advanced electrical systems, preventing faults and avoiding feature deactivation.
